Step-by-step instructions to Download a copy of Facebook account data
Step 1:
Login to your Facebook account. Select settings from the drop-down menu, which is at the top right side corner
Step 2:
After selecting Settings, click General in the left-hand side menu -> Click Download a Copy
Step 3:
After selecting Download a Copy, a window will pop up asking you to click Start My Archive. Just click Start My Archive in the pop-ups.
Step 4:
Now, after clicking Start My Archive in the pop-ups, Facebook will send an email with a link to download your copy. Depending upon the size of your Facebook account data, which is photos, conversations, etc., it may take time; normally it will take 1 minute to 15 minutes, but sometimes it may take longer than that depending upon the size of your data.
Step 5:
Now Check your email associated with your Facebook account and click the link given in the email to download a copy of your Facebook account data and then select Download Archive
